Bing Maps (previously also named Live Search Maps, Windows Live Maps, Windows Live Local, and MSN Virtual Earth) is an online web mapping service provided by Microsoft as a part of the Bing suite of search engines and powered by the Bing Maps for Enterprise framework.
Bing Maps’ driving directions are a handy tool for your travels prepared online before or during your journey. Many options, including real-time traffic updates, avoid tolls, highways, or ferries, which you may find helpful when discovering unknown areas.
Bing map users may get driving directions between two or more selected locations. More than a decade ago, Microsoft added public transit directions (bus, subway, and local rail) to its available direction options offered by Bing Maps. Transit directions are only available in 11 cities these days: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Newark Metro Area, New York Metro Area, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver BC, and Washington DC. It is also available in other countries such as Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, etc.
